2008 John T. Stewart, Jr. Scholarship Writing Competition
EXPIRED: 5:00 p.m. EST, February 8, 2008.
The John T. Stewart, Jr. Scholarship Writing Competition is a writing competition for law students interested in transportation or
transportation security law. The competition honors John T. Stewart, Jr., a highly respected lawyer who fostered the development of aviation
law during his long career in the government and private sectors. He believed strongly in the merits of public
service, and served as a mentor to countless young lawyers. This scholarship competition in his name continues his tradition
of encouraging law students to consider a career in transportation law.
The John T. Stewart, Jr. Scholarship Writing Competition is sponsored by the Transportation and Transportation Security Law
Section of the Federal Bar Association and The Foundation of the Federal Bar Association, with the generous support of UPS, the global

judges interested in federal practice. The FBA's 16,000 members are attorneys from private firms, government agencies,
corporations, associations and organizations, including professors and more than 1,000 Federal jurists. The T&TSLS has a section
publication, TransLaw, published quarterly. You can learn more about the Federal Bar Association at
