2008 Chapman University School of Law Student Essay Competition in International Law

The Center for Global Trade & Development Chapman University School of Law

The Center for Global Trade & Development, Chapman University School of Law, is offering a prize of $1,500 for the best essay submitted by a law student currently enrolled in any law school in the U.S. or abroad. The theme of this year's competition is: "The Genocide Convention at Sixty."

Essays must be in English, conform to Blue Book standards or the equivalent, and be no longer than 30 pages double-spaced, including footnotes. The essay must be entirely the work of the student submitted it. Students at Chapman University School of Law are not permitted to participate in the competition. The cover sheet should contain contact information for the author.

The deadline for submissions is January 20, 2008. The winner will be announced in early February and will be given an opportunity to present their winning paper at the Center for Global Trade and Development's 2008 Symposium: "The Genocide Convention at Sixty."
