The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Announces the 69th Annual Nathan Burkian Memorial Competition.

Local Competition

Awards at each participating law school.

  • First Prize - $600
  • Second Prize - $250

National Competition

Judged by a panel to be selected by, and in the sole discretion of, the Copyright Society of the USA.

  • First Prize - $3,000
  • Second Prize - $2,000
  • Third Prize - $1,000

Copies of the Rules Governing the Competition, may be secured at the office of the Dean. Winning papers must be certified by the Dean to the Society by June 30, 2008.
