2008 Sovereignty Symposium XXI Tuition Scholarships Ed Edmondson Scholarship

2008 Sovereignty Symposium XXI Suition Scholarships Ed Edmondson Scholarship

Ed Edmondson served in the United States Congress representing Oklahoma for twenty years. He was a long time supporter of both Native American concerns and education. A maximum of one hundred, Symposium tuition only scholarships will be offered in his name as the Symposium's thank you for his support and efforts during its founding.

The Oklahoma Supreme Court, the Oklahoma Indian Affairs Commission, the Sovereignty Symposium, Inc., and the Oklahoma Arts Council will host Sovereignty Symposium XXI on June 4 and 5, 2008, at the Skirvin Hilton Hotel, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Applicants should demonstrate an interest in and dedication to Native American law issues and the need for a scholarship in a letter of application.

The Sovereignty Symposium was established to provide a forum in which ideas concerning common legal issues can be exchanged in a scholarly, non-adversarial environment. The Oklahoma Supreme Court espouses no view on any of the issues or the positions taken by the Symposium participants or by the authors of writing competition entries.
