Student Activities
Students at SMU Dedman School of law play a vital role in the academic, professional and social life of the law school.
We are extremely proud of the reputation for scholarship of the law schools
law journals. The numerous
moot court/mock
trial competitions provide practical trial and
appellant experience for interested students and the opportunity to compete
in both intra and inter school competitions. There are also many other
opportunities to compete in various
writing competitions throughout the year.
The Student Bar Association (SBA) and
numerous student organizations
are extremely active providing both professional development and social
activities and programs for students as amply demonstrated by one look at
the calendar
during the school year.
Whatever your profession, social or religious or political interests,
there are programs and organizations that in which you can participate or join.
