In 2016, the Institute hosted its first annual Education Advocacy for Children in the Child Welfare System Symposium and Community Conversation. This conference focused on educational issues foster youth and other children in state care face. The W.W. Caruth, Jr. Institute for Children's Rights partnered with education and foster organizations such as CASA, CitySquare, CPS, and many others, to host the event. This year, the Institute is holding another such Symposium with even more collaborators to reach all disciplines that touch these children in the educational process.  Below are links to past presentations and materials, as well as information on the upcoming Symposium.
