February 28, 2017: The Economics of Innovation
Lonnie Brist, a PhD economist and Transfer Pricing Partner from Ernst & Young spoke to students and professors about the nuances in law and tax policy when dealing with intellectual property.  

January 26, 2017: Commercializing Technology for the Benefit of Patients
Frank Grassler, VP of Technology Development at UT Southwestern Medical School, spoke to the audience about his experience working for a large nonprofit institution such as UTSW, as well as his work as general counsel for Gilead, a large pharmaceutical company. 

October 4, 2016: Legal Support of the Automotive Industry and Beyond
This Tsai Talk featured Nilay S. Dave' and Frederick Mau from Toyota Motor North America, Inc., who discussed the many technology areas within Toyota supported by Toyota's North America Legal Group, with an emphasis on support of research and development, transactions, and intellectual property. 

September 6, 2016: Universities and Innovation
Guest speakers Teresa Schultz, of University of Texas at Arlington's Office of Technology Management, and Abigail Go, of University of Texas at Dallas' Office of Technology Commercialization, discussed their roles in their respective offices.  They also discussed the purpose of technology transfer offices and the commercialization of research and entrepreneurship.
