The Animal Law Section of the State Bar of Texas announces its second annual student writing competition.

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the Animal Law Section is to promote the study and understanding of laws, regulations and court decisions relating to legal issues involving animals, and to encourage students at Texas law schools to engage in the study, and enter the practice, of animal law.

PRIZE:

The top three papers chosen will receive awards of $1,500, $1,000, and $500, respectively, and an offer to publish in the Texas Animal Law Journal.

TOPIC:

Students may write on any topic that is related to Animal Law.

DEADLINE:

Entries must be received by e-mail by 5:00 p.m. CST on Friday, November 30, 2012.  No late entries will be accepted.
