The American College of Employee Benefits Counsel announces their Eighth Annual Employee Benefits Writing Competition.

SUBJECT:

The subject can be any topic in the field of employee benefits law.

ELIGIBILITY:

The writing competition is open to any J.D. and graduate (LL.M. or S.J.D.) law students enrolled at any time between August 15, 2011, and August 15, 2012.

COMPETITION RULES AND DEADLINE:

Read the Competition Rules. Papers must be received no later than Midnight Central Time on June 1, 2012 (instructions for submitting papers are in the Competition Rules, paragraph 1(b)).

PRIZES:

Clarin M. Schwartz Memorial Award - $1,500
Sidney M. Perlstadt Memorial Award - $1,500

Each winner will be honored during the College's annual black tie dinner on September 15, 2012, in Boston.  The winner will receive a plaque and an employee benefits treatise published by BNA Books.
