2L Students Co-author Faculty Article to be Published in the Texas Tech Law Review
In March of 2010, 2L students Joshua Vincent and Ryan Starbird co-authored an article with Professor David Epstein on the statute of frauds entitled “Reliance on Oral Promises: Statute of Frauds and Promissory Estoppel.” The article is forthcoming publication in the Texas Tech Law Review.
2L Students Co-author Faculty Article Published in the Baylor Law Review
In February of 2010, 2L students Melina Arbuckle and Kelly Flanagan also co-authored with Professor Epstein on another contracts article; it was published in the Baylor Law Review in book 4 of volume 42.
3L Students Co-author and Publish in the Journal of Tax Practice & Procedure
In March of 2010, Kory Ryan and Jenna Braisted worked with SMU’s Small Business & Tax Clinic Director Larry Jones to co-author a piece entitled “Who Owns the Client’s File?” The article was published in the February/March issue of The Journal of Tax Practice and Procedure.
The Federal Taxpayers Clinic, the first tax clinic in the country with the authority to represent clients before the Internal Revenue Service and the U.S. Tax Court, gives students invaluable hands-on experience while obtaining class credit.
