APIL's 4th Annual Auction Another Success
The Association for Public Interest Law’s Fourth Annual live and silent Auction for charity was held on Friday, April 9, 2010 in the Law Quad. The theme was “Big Hats and Bow Ties.” The 400 attendees enjoyed appetizers and live music performances by “Shoot Low Sheriff” and Lauren Woods and bid on items ranging from a vintage Valentino dress to a two-day and two-night stay at a lakefront property. All monies raised are used to provide stipends for students who serve as interns for government or non-profit organizations that work with underserved communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The auction was very successful and raised about $30,000.
More than 50 faculty, students and staff combined worked very hard to make this such a success. Special thanks to Professors Colangelo, Spector, Rogers, Villazor, and Eads who volunteered as auctioneers.
