Wayne Watts '80
Senior Executive Vice President and General Counsel, AT&T
“As an alumnus of SMU Dedman School of Law and 27-year employee of AT&T,
I am proud that AT&T is sponsoring the SMU Dedman School of Law Callejo
Roundtable and the AT&T Callejo Leadership Scholarship. As the Hispanic population continues its rapid growth in the United States and particularly here in Texas, it becomes more and more important that we help prepare the Hispanic leaders who will effectively address the issues affecting all of us in an increasingly diverse world–and opportunities like the roundtable and scholarship are sorely needed to help fill this critical need.
At AT&T, we have long known that a workforce with a diversity of cultures, backgrounds, education, and lifestyles fuels innovation. And innovation, fueled by investment,
drives the growth that will move our company, and our country, forward. |
