Wendy Wang is responsible for the development and implementation of career-planning functions primarily for the first and second year Evening Program J.D. students and International LL.M candidates and shares responsibility for career planning for third and fourth year Evening Program students with the other Career Services counselors.

Wendy earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Washington University in 1997.  From 1997 to 1998, she taught English in Korea under the Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship program.  Wendy graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in 2001.  While attending law school at UT, she was a member of Texas International Law Journal.  In 2001, Wendy started her law practice as a commercial litigator in the Dallas office of Bickel & Brewer.  From 2005 to 2008, she served as a staff attorney at IBM, where she supported transactions for sales of hardware, software, and business consulting and IT services.  Wendy returned to commercial litigation and Bickel & Brewer from 2008 to 2010.  Professionally, Wendy is a member of the Dallas Bar Association.  Wendy joined SMU Dedman School of Law as Associate Director of the Office of Career Services in January 2012.
