Registration for Fall OCI

Registration opens on March 1, 2013 for our 2013 On-Campus Interview, Houston Interview and Resume Collection Programs through Symplicity.

On-Campus Interview Program

The On-Campus Interview Program allows employers to come to the Office of Career Services to interview first and second year J.D. day and evening students, third year J.D. students, General, Tax and International LL.M. students for summer, part-time or permanent, post-graduation positions.

August 2013 Houston Interview Program Date

Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Embassy Suites Houston/Galleria.  There is no fee to participate.

August 2013 Early Interview Program Dates

Weekday Interviewing: Monday to Friday, August 12-23, 2013

There is no fee to participate in the August 2013 Early Interview Program.

Fall 2013 Recruiting Phase II Program Dates

Weekday Interviewing:  Monday to Friday, October 7-11, 2013

Additional benefits of participating in Fall Recruiting Phase II:

• There is no fee to interview on-campus during Phase II.
• On-campus interviews will be conducted in the new, comfortable conference rooms within the Office of Career Services.
• After-hours interviews may be scheduled: interviews can be flexibly arranged at anytime of day and evening from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Off-Campus/Resume Collection Program

The Resume Collection Program takes place in the fall and spring concurrently with On-Campus Interviews and permits employers who are unable to visit the SMU campus the opportunity to solicit applications directly from law students or graduates.

How Do New Employers Register For Symplicity?

1. Using your Internet Browser, go to: https://law-smu-csm.symplicity.com/employers/
2. Click on the “Register” tab
3. Complete the Employer information that is requested
4. Click the “Submit” button

We will send you an e-mail confirming your registration and containing your personal user name and password. You may then return to the employer site, login, and follow the instructions given below.

How Do Returning Employers Register To Participate In An Interview Program?

1. Login at https://law-smu-csm.symplicity.com/employers/
2. Click “OCI” on the Tool bar
3. Click on the “Schedule Requests” tab
4. Hit the “Request Schedule” button
5. From the Session drop down at the top of the schedule request form, select “August 2013 Houston Interview Program”, "August 2013 Early Interview Program" or "Fall 2013 Recruiting Phase II".
6. Complete the information that is requested
7. Please feel free to make additional schedule notes in the box provided at the bottom of the form
8. Click the “Submit” button

You will receive an email confirmation of the date you are assigned.

Mail your firm brochure or resume, signed Non-Discrimination Policy and, if you are a member of NALP, two copies of your NALP form to Beth Lee by July 1, 2013.
