HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE RESUME COLLECTION PROGRAM

The Resume Collection Program permits employers who are unable to visit the SMU campus the opportunity to solicit applications from law students. If you decide not to interview on campus but would like to review resumes from our students, please follow the same steps listed above and select "Fall 2013 Resume Collection Program" from the Session drop down.

You may request that the students submit the application materials directly to you, collect online through Symplicity or that the Office of Career Services collect the materials and forward them to your firm. We can also assist you in scheduling interviews and will facilitate the interview process any way we can.

Video-conferencing Interviews

Video-conferencing services are provided by the Office of Career Services. We can collect application materials for you, email or mail them in one convenient package, and your hiring committee can select only the students they wish to interview. If you are interested in this option, we ask that you allow at least four weeks to make all arrangements.

SYMPLICITY EMPLOYER INSTRUCTIONS

If you need any assistance, our office will provide you with instructions on using the Symplicity system for on-campus interviews and job posting management. Please contact Beth Lee, Assistant Director, at 214-768-4065 or beth@smu.edu.

HOW TO POST A JOB

At any time during the year, and for any position appropriate for law students (year-round, temporary, contract) or lateral positions for law school graduates, you may post a job on our Symplicity job bank and in our alumni job bulletin, The Mustang, at no cost to you. Many graduates from SMU and other law schools review both for lateral openings.

To post a job you may either (1) create a job posting on the Symplicity job bank by logging in and selecting the "Jobs" tab and "Add New" tab or (2) complete our Online Job Posting Form at legaljobs.law.smu.edu.
