Senate Confirms Sarah Saldaña
for U.S. Attorney in Dallas


  • Sarah Saldaña is a 1984 graduate of SMU's Dedman School of Law and is the state's first Latina chief prosecutor. Since 2004, the Corpus Christi, Texas, native had served as an assistant U.S. Attorney in the Dallas-based Northern District of Texas, where she led the public corruption unit.
