Donald E. Godwin '73 has been selected as one of the top business defense attorneys in the DFW metroplex by the Dallas Business Journal. It is the second time in five years he has received the recognition.

Godwin serves as Chairman and CEO of Godwin Ronquillo, and is a nationally respected trial lawyer who represents clients in a broad range of complex litigation matters.

“Being regarded among the top business defenders in Dallas/Fort Worth is humbling, especially knowing that it was based on peer recommendations,” said Godwin. “To have earned the respect of your peers is the highest honor anyone can strive for.”

“The Defenders” honor is the latest accolade for Mr. Godwin, who also has earned recognition on every Texas Super Lawyers listing since 2003 and has been selected among the top 100 attorneys in Texas as well as Dallas/Fort Worth.

In 2003, Godwin won the SMU Dedman School of Law Distinguished Alumni Award for Private Practice. He also contributed to SMU Dedman School of Law’s dining area, the Godwin Gruber Lawyers’ Inn, in 2005.
